About Traction Business Accelerator
About TBA
At Traction Business Accelerator we meet you where you are and work together to get you where you’re going. If your business is in the ditch, we pull it out. If it’s rolling but needs acceleration, we pour fuel in your tank. Headed the wrong way? We’ll provide navigation. One thing we won’t do, is take your money, flash a PowerPoint, and and say, See Ya!
We are not consultants. We’re a business accelerator team that can hook you up with the horsepower you need. We’ll do the strategic planning and then get in the trenches with you. Whether it’s brand creation or realignment, website and collateral refocusing, business development, partnership creation, process implementation, marketing or sales we ride shoulder-to-shoulder with you and your team.
Specializing in sport, sport-tech, edu-tech, and documentary film, we usually work with companies that already have a minimum viable product and proof of concept, but are struggling to find and grow their market and revenues. In the film world, we usually tend to jump in earlier in the process.
Founder’s Story
My name is Bill Kerig. I’ve had a lifetime of entrepreneurship. Boston-born, I’d been on a standard track through college in the East, and then I veered far off course with a move to the West where I became a pro skier, sports journalist and author, TV producer, and then moved on to magazines, movies and tech startups. From creation to market to liquidity event (or, sometimes failure), I’ve now done it 18 times (Specifics are here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/william-a-kerig/).
I’ve never been fearless, but I have learned to be steady and forward-focused through difficult but predictable challenges. Though the specifics of creating and bringing films, tech companies, magazines, TV shows, or books to market and acquisition do differ, we’ve developed a systematic approach to minimize the uncertainty and maximize the opportunity.
Why the motorcycle motif? Well, there’s a long story that involves a midlife migration into adventure motorcycles that I’ll publish one of these days. But the short answer is: Motorcycling provides an excellent metaphor for getting unstuck, for leaning in, for using throttle to clear obstacles, and for loving the wild ride that business provides. And just like adventure motorcycling, the best part of building businesses is doing it with great people.
Here’s to taking a winning ride together.
